With a heavy heart
I’m looking at a letter from a law firm representing the owners of the apartment complex where I live. I have to draft an Answer Defense and see if I can avoid a default judgment.
I’ve got to ring my friend JG and ask him how to go about this. And see if I can’t get some action on antiques and on finding some steady work. I’m so tired. And it would be tempting to just hide...

So I’m going to take my empty glass and my plate (fixed myself toast and milk) to the kitchen, switch off the idiot box and the radio, and get to bed.

On the radio
Listening to X JAPAN and wishing I could pop over to Chicago, so I could hear them live. Alas, until I am actually more financially solvent, I can only listen, watch the vids, and sing along until I lose my voice.
And to think I wasted money on a Stryper concert. Where was my mind in 1987? (Give me a wayback machine and I would gladly see them instead.)

Accepted with a gentle tongue.
I’ve just updated my profile. Yes, dears, the truth is there: I am—gasp!—45 and fat, among other things. If any of you choose to unfollow, I won’t object. Good things must end, and if they do, I wish you the best, and I wish you peace.
And if you want to hang out with an ancient, I more than welcome the company.

Afterglow
I’m listening to Joe Strummer on Last.fm—fatigued, but with good reason.
After waking up, I began roasting eggplant for ratatouille. Followed that up with a batch of roasted zucchini. I also sweated a batch of trinity (bell pepper, celery, onion) amd sauteed mushrooms for meatloaf.
The kitchen was hellishly hot, and making the ratatouille base made it feel like Mercury. Mixed ground...

Another gem from my dream holiday →
I adore iconography, and especially this wonderful piece written by Andrei Rublev. His depiction of the Trinity is beyond words.
